This wasn't an intentional mission, but as crappy as a day it was, it was the best I could do to salvage it.
Nice gentle thunderstorm on the way home from class tonight. I had my laptop in my backpack, and no umbrella. Its been a terrible day.. I stashed my backpack under a tree, and ran around campus a bit, splashing in puddles and yelling. I probably had a few people thinking I was crazy. :)

So I drove to Lawrence to see my friend Mike, and to go to a concert... sadly Mike couldn't make it to the show.

I don't know what the deal is with the fireflies, however they seem to be attracted into my room, much like june bugs and other beetley kind of bugs. And gnats.
Watched Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals (which could have been a championship game, had Carolina won) at Willie's Sports Bar where I got dinner that night. I was wearing an Avs jersey that day too :)
I ate at Taco Bell on Friday night, and caught another lightning bug in my room.
Yesterday I watched Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals (yet again could have been the championship game)...

2. Beat a Video Game
Finally, I decided to beat one of the best video games ever made for PC. I got it for a friend of mine years ago, and made a copy. It was so hard, I never made it past the first "year".
I present to you... Grim Fandango... one of the best artistically driven games out there. Its an adventure game. Its not a shoot'em-up game. It takes a brain. The music, the art.. its a beautiful game with a tremendous challenge involved.

57. Watch a New Movie
Today I went to see Cars, the new Disney Pixar film. It had Owen Wilson('s voice) so I couldn't pass it up :) Cute movie, wasn't a lot of total laugh out loud moments, but I will give a tiny spoiler and say that probably one of my personal favorite moments was based off of someone yelling "FREEBIRD!" Heh.
Amazingly, while sitting with Jesse after the movie (strangely enough, he was there with a group of friends, I was invited, then uninvited (grr), then said "screw this, I'm going anyway") I was like "I think that one car's voice was Michael Keaton..." I looked it up on IMDB, and sure enough it was. Funny how some people just have very distinctive, memorable voices.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 3. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either.
